Whiting Law Group is proud to announce Tim Whiting’s appointment for the upcoming year as Chair of the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys (ATAA), the largest legal organization for plaintiff truck accident attorneys in the United States.

ATAA was founded in 2016 by the two most prominent trucking accident attorneys in the US, Joe Fried and Michael Leizerman. ATAA’s mission is to make a difference in highway safety by fighting unsafe practices that lead to truck crashes through educating lawyers on handling truck accident cases, promoting board certification of truck accident lawyers so that victims can choose lawyers that are proficient at winning truck accident cases, and playing an active role in judicial, legislative and regulatory initiatives that affect highway safety in the trucking industry.

“It is a great honor to be chosen to serve as Chairman of ATAA. I am incredibly proud of the accomplishments ATAA and its founders Joe Fried and Michael Leizerman have achieved in the four short years of forming the group which is now helping thousands of attorneys across the country fight for their clients and families harmed by the negligence  of truck drivers and truck companies. I am confident that with the aggressive agenda we have set to grow ATAA this coming year as chair, we can create a higher standard of advocacy for holding the bad players accountable and making our roadways even safer.”

Tim Whiting is a Nationally board-certified truck accident trial attorney and holds a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Tim is licensed to practice in Illinois and Wisconsin and has committed his practice and law firm to solely represent individuals and /or their loved ones who have been harmed in truck accident crashes across the United States.

1M Settlement

Whiting Law Group secured a full-policy settlement of $1,000,000 against a defendant and his two companies.

The defendant in this matter lost consciousness at the wheel, crossed a median and t-boned our client. Liability was disputed, as the defendant-driver claimed that he was not within the scope of his employment with either company at the time of the incident.

As a result of the collision, our client sustained significant injuries. She was 37 years old at the time of this crash and required surgery due to a fractured pelvis. She then underwent extensive physical therapy.

Through aggressive negotiations, Whiting Law Group resolved this matter well above the initial offers made by the defendants. We are delighted to have helped another special client through such a difficult and life-changing experience.
