Ryan P. O'Dowd

ASSOCIATE

Ryan P. O’Dowd joined Whiting Law Group in 2025, bringing a wealth of experience in high-stakes litigation and a deep commitment to advocating for plaintiffs in trucking litigation. Licensed to practice law in Michigan since 2021, Ryan has built a robust legal career, marked by significant achievements in complex cases. A proud native of Horton, Michigan, Ryan graduated from Hanover-Horton High School before earning his undergraduate degree from Adrian College. He went on to obtain his Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law.

During law school, Ryan honed his legal acumen as a Law Clerk/Bailiff for Jackson County Circuit Judge Richard N. LaFlamme and as a Law Clerk at a prominent local plaintiff litigation firm. After graduating, Ryan provided strategic legal counsel to victims of motor vehicle crashes, nursing home negligence, and medical malpractice. His courtroom experience includes serving as second chair in a nursing home negligence jury trial, securing a $6 million verdict, and a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) negligence jury trial, resulting in a $650,000 verdict. These accomplishments underscore Ryan’s ability to deliver exceptional results in high-pressure environments.

Now at Whiting Law Group, Ryan is eager to channel his litigation expertise and passion for justice into representing clients affected by truck wrecks. His dedication to plaintiff-oriented trucking litigation aligns with the firm’s mission to provide unparalleled advocacy for those impacted by catastrophic collisions. Ryan is an active member of the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys (ATAA) and is proud to serve clients throughout Michigan, Illinois, and across the United States, leveraging his skills to achieve meaningful outcomes.
